Travel Insured International (TII), a Crum & Forster company, is hiring a Junior Software Engineer, Full Stack or Associate Software Engineer, Full Stack.

We are looking for a
Junior Full Stack Engineer to join our
Digital Transformation & Technology team. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development of our partner-facing developer portal and embedded travel insurance tools. This is a great opportunity for a developer early in their career to gain experience working with modern technologies like GraphQL, Azure API Management, and React/Next.js within a supportive and collaborative team.
This role reports to the AVP of Digital Transformation & Technology and works closely with senior engineers, product owners, and domain experts to help deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
What You Will Do For C&F
Developer Portal Support
- Collaborate with team members to configure and customize our API portal using Azure API Management.
- Help integrate GraphQL documentation, partner onboarding tools, and basic analytics features into the portal.
- Assist in testing and refining user experiences and workflows.
- Embedded Web Components
- Contribute to the development of reusable React/Next.js components for partners to embed on their sites and applications.
- Ensure components meet basic performance, security, and usability standards.
- Learn to work across different front-end environments and device types.
- GraphQL API Integration
- Work with backend engineers to connect frontend components to GraphQL APIs.
- Participate in testing and validating API functionality and performance.
- Learn about best practices in API schema design and versioning.
- Collaboration & Teamwork
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Assist with code reviews and learn from feedback from senior team members.
- Work closely with UX designers, QA, and DevOps to build and ship quality features.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Write unit and integration tests for the features you build.
- Follow established development practices and seek opportunities to improve.
- Learn how to deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines and container-based environments.
What You Will Bring To C&F
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required
- 1 year of professional and/or internship experience in full-stack development is required
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks like React or Next.js is required
- Exposure to GraphQL or RESTful APIs, either through coursework, personal projects, or work experience is preferred
- Understanding of version control using Git is preferred
- Some exposure to Node.js or similar backend environments is required
- Willingness to learn API management concepts (e.g., Azure APIM, API Gateway) and portal customization
- A strong desire to learn and grow in a collaborative software development environment.
- Solid communication skills and a willingness to ask questions and seek feedback.
- A proactive and curious mindset with attention to detail.

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $50,600.00 to a maximum of $95,300.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
