Overview

The Reliability Engineer V will perform a variety of routine to complex duties in support of integrated circuit and system level reliability prediction, reliability validation, process capability evaluation, and customer support.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as Reliability SME on cross-functional IC Product Development teams for high reliability aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial products. Assess and communicate reliability risk at each phase of product development.
  • Perform reliability assessments on foundry process technologies, including evaluating foundry degradation models (HCI, TDDB, BTI, EM, etc.), performing degradation characterization on silicon, and generating predictive degradation models from characterization data.
  • Develop and implement technology and product screening flows and qualification plans and generate qualification reports. Develop/maintain infrastructure required for reliability assessments and qualifications.
  • Perform FMEA/FMECA at a component and system level.
  • Assist with program proposals.
  • Work closely with customers to answer reliability questions on production parts, products under development, and potential products.
  • Work closely with external partners involved in supply, screening, and qualification of parts.
  • Mentor less experienced reliability engineers.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years or more of experience with established in-depth knowledge of semiconductor device physics, semiconductor processing, IC design, or related field.
  • OR 8 years of experience may be considered w/ a Masters Degree
  • Bachelor's degree: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Reliability Engineering.
  • Experience with high reliability microelectronic screening and qualification flows.
  • Knowledge of MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, and JEDEC standards.


Preferred:

  • Experience with high-reliability PEM products.
  • Knowledge of PEM-INST-001, ECSS-Q-ST-60-13C, AS6294/1, and AS6294/2 standards.
  • Experience with reliability assessment of memory products (MRAM, NAND flash, etc.).
  • Experience with board- and system-level reliability assessment & characterization.


Additional Information

  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain an U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.
  • Pay Range: $140,000 - $180,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
