LaSalle Network is partnering with a leading innovator in the building materials industry to hire a Regulatory Engineer for a hybrid role based near Wheeling, IL. We're looking for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, understands the nuances of regulatory compliance, and can lead testing and certification efforts from start to finish.

Regulatory Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Support new product development with timely compliance, testing, and certification
  • Track and interpret global regulatory standards (FCC, CE, UL, RoHS, REACH)
  • Coordinate third-party testing to ensure safety and performance compliance
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and certifications in PLM systems
  • Collaborate with R&D, project management, marketing, and manufacturing teams
  • Drive process improvements to elevate product safety and compliance
  • Support audits and supplier evaluations; deliver internal compliance training

Regulatory Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering (3-5 years experience) or STEM field (5-7 years experience)
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, certification processes, and third-party testing
  • Able to read technical drawings and manage compliance documentation
  • Experience with building materials a plus (doors, locks, decking, plumbing)
