Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in microbiology, food science, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Over 5 years of experience in regulatory roles within the food manufacturing industry, with a focus on food safety, technical services, and compliance.
• Skills: Proficient in federal and state compliance regulations, food and labeling regulations, and experienced with MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and nutritional software packages like ESHA Genesis.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the regulatory compliance department, manage direct reports, conduct employee reviews, and develop team members.
• Regulatory Management: Translate and interpret regulatory changes, manage nutritional panels and ingredient statements, and ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with key departments on regulatory expectations, support business acquisitions, and provide timely regulatory support to internal and external customers.
