Summary

Regulatory Affairs Coordinator – MLTC – $140k-$180k annual salary!!! We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Regulatory Affairs Coordinator with expertise in Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) programs to support our client’s compliance and regulatory operations. This role requires a strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid regulations, particularly as they relate to New York State MLTC plans. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate (JD) and a minimum of 3 years of experience in managed care or healthcare compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, interpret, and ensure organizational compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements related to MLTC, Medicare, and Medicaid programs.
  • Draft, review, and submit regulatory filings and reports to relevant agencies (e.g., DOH, CMS).
  • Analyze regulatory changes and provide summaries and impact assessments to internal leadership and operational teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on MLTC-related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Quality, and Operational teams to ensure coordinated regulatory responses and organizational readiness.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and training materials to promote regulatory compliance.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries.
  • Track and manage deadlines for regulatory submissions, notices, and other compliance deliverables.
  • Represent the organization in regulatory workgroups, webinars, and stakeholder meetings as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managed care, regulatory compliance, or a related healthcare field.
  • In-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs, with a specific focus on MLTC (Managed Long Term Care).
  • Strong legal and regulatory research skills, including the ability to interpret complex statutes and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with healthcare compliance tools or platforms.
  • Experience working directly with New York State Department of Health (DOH) and/or Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
  • Prior experience supporting regulatory audits or surveys in a health plan setting.
  • Knowledge of other government-sponsored programs such as D-SNP, PACE, or Medicaid Advantage Plus (MAP).
