Job Summary

The Regulatory Affairs Associate, Global is a regulatory specialist with capabilities to provide regulatory support for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of Aurora’s international exports from Canadian facilities. They provide regulatory expertise and guidance on procedural and documentation requirements. As the Regulatory Affairs Associate you will be involved in …

  • Understanding the regulatory framework, including regional trends, for various types of applications and licencing for products across international regions.
  • Developing effective working relationships with internal and external experts to support regulatory strategies & exports from Canada
  • Using and share best practices, when handling various applications and procedures during interactions with health authorities and in day-to-day work, while operating in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Contributing to the planning, preparation and delivery of submissions throughout the product’s life cycle from either a global and/or Health Canada perspective.
  • Supporting in the input, maintenance, and revision in project plans for assigned projects and highlight unforeseen changes in resource demand in a timely manner.
  • Escalating emerging issues and associated risk communications to regulatory department.
  • Supporting operational and compliance activities for assigned deliverables, submission tracking and document management utilizing the support and input of partners where relevant.
  • Developing and document process improvement
  • Supporting operational and compliance activities for assigned deliverables.
  • Supporting engagement with international regulators and business units
  • Other duties as assigned.


You would be the best fit for this role if you have…

  • Relevant University Degree in Science or related discipline
  • At least 5 years of Regulatory experience within the biopharmaceutical industry, or at a health authority, or other relevant experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to interpret and understand Regulations in the context of the scientific and commercial environment
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment for consumer goods & GMP


Bonus points if you have…

  • General knowledge of cannabis, GMP and pharmaceutical/food/tobacco/NHP/OTC medicinal products and/or devices or cosmetics with Health Canada
  • Strong collaboration skills, including experience supporting multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Strategic thinking adept at working cross-functionally to problem solve issues in a timely manner
  • Effective in an environment requiring independent initiative with multiple deadlines and
  • Ability to manage changing priorities
