About the role


Role Purpose

Supply Chain & Transportation Program Manager APAC is responsible for overseeing freight, brokerage, and land transportation operations. This includes driving performance management, executing RFX processes and cost benchmarking, leading system project implementations, and ensuring compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards. This role plays a critical part in optimizing regional transportation networks and enhancing overall supply chain efficiency.


Responsibilities:

Freight, Brokerage & Transportation Optimization:

  • Lead and manage regional freight and land transportation projects, including network design, route optimization, and carrier partnerships.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve cost efficiency, transit times, and service levels.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline operational workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.


Performance Management & Continuous Improvement:

  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for transportation, freight, and brokerage operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices in freight and transportation management to enhance cost efficiency and reliability.
  • Benchmark against industry standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


RFX Management & Cost Benchmark Analysis:

  • Lead Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes for freight service providers, carriers, and brokers.
  • Perform cost benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive pricing and service agreements.
  • Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with key transportation vendors.


System Project Implementation:

  • Oversee the implementation of transportation management systems (TMS), freight visibility platforms, and other digital supply chain tools.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and user adoption.
  • Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance freight and transportation performance.


Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Compliance:

  • Ensure all freight and transportation operations comply with regional and global QHSE standards.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Implement corrective actions and training programs to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.



Candidate Requirements


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in leading transportation projects, performance management, and system implementations.
  • Strong experience in conducting RFX processes, cost benchmarking, and vendor negotiations.
  • Knowledge of TMS, freight visibility tools, and other transportation technologies.
  • Familiarity with QHSE standards and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.


Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience in process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with advanced data analysis such as route optimization software, digital freight platforms and visual presentations such as POWER BI
  • Regional or global supply chain experience in a multinational environment.
