Summary
As a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) at A10 Networks, you will be responsible for driving strategic sales and managing key commercial accounts within your assigned territory. This role requires a combination of account management, business development, and partner collaboration, with a focus on selling A10’s Threat X platform and security solutions. You will work closely with both end customers, Core account teams and channel partners to build strong, lasting relationships, drive revenue growth, and exceed sales targets.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity technologies, web applications and API protection, with a proven ability to engage with senior executives, negotiate large deals, and lead the sales process to success. You will be expected to maintain a strategic focus on long–term growth, while effectively managing a pipeline of opportunities and executing on short–term sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Relationship Building:
Partner with the A10 core account team to help develop, land and expand new sales opportunities with our Threat X security platform. This role is to function as our sales subject matter expert on our Threat X solution.
Develop and maintain strategic customer relationships with key commercial accounts in the assigned region
Lead all aspects of account engagement, from identifying opportunities to closing deals
Understand customer business goals and challenges to position Threat X and other A10 security product offerings as critical to their success
Sales Pipeline Development:
Help create and sustain a robust sales pipeline through effective lead generation, qualification and close of deals
Leverage a mix of direct sales and channel partner strategies to maximize revenue growth across your territory
Focus on both new business acquisition and growing existing accounts by identifying upsell and cross–sell opportunities
Partner Engagement and Business Development:
Collaborate with channel partners to expand A10’s market presence and drive joint sales initiatives
Develop and execute strategies for partner enablement, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to succeed in the market
Drive partner led sales opportunities, working closely with partners to ensure alignment on customer needs and A10 solutions
Sales Strategy & Target Achievement:
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that aligns with both short–term and long–term business goals
Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas, while consistently tracking and reporting on sales progress
Provide regular sales forecasts and business updates to senior management, including detailed analysis of pipeline health, risks, and opportunities
Negotiations and Deal Closing:
Assist with the negotiation process, ensuring favorable terms for A10 while aligning with customer needs and expectations
Close large, complex deals in collaboration with internal teams, including Sales Engineering, Product, and Legal, ensuring the deals are structured to deliver maximum value to the customer and A10
Market Knowledge & Thought Leadership:
Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and technological advancements in networking, security, and cloud infrastructure
Use this knowledge to provide customers with relevant insights, positioning A10 as a trusted advisor and thought leader in the market
Address competitive threats by effectively positioning A10’s solutions in relation to customer needs and competitor offerings
Forecasting and Reporting:
Manage sales forecasts and short–term/long–term business plans, and regularly review the business forecast pipeline with management
Experience
Candidate Qualifications
7+ years of experience in sales within the networking, security, or infrastructure sectors, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets
Established relationships with a wide range of Enterprise accounts and Channel Partners
Experience with value–based selling, including ROI and TCO proposals
Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity, Application and Network Infrastructure.
Skills
Strong business acumen and experience in value–based selling
Proven ability to manage and develop channel partner relationships
Strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non––makers
