Overview

The US Regional Quality Manager will support Prestone’s four US sites in Alsip, Ill, Torrance, Ca, Freehold, NJ and Cincinnati, OH in quality. You will lead supplier quality, customer quality, and QMS initiatives for the US Region. Your work within our US manufacturing facilities will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader. This position will be based at our Alsip, IL location and will have a 40% travel expectation.

Your Role at Prestone:

  • Conduct internal audits for ISO and IATF at the sites.
  • Organize and assist the sites with external audits including ISO, IATF and customer audits
  • Organize and conduct vendor audits.
  • Ensure that internal audit findings as well as NCRs (both from internal and external audits) are actioned in a manner that drives learning, consistency, and standardization.
  • Learn the legacy processes/systems and drive the successful transition to D365 for the quality organization.
  • Update and maintain quality corporate quality documentation.
  • Identify and assess critical-to-quality gaps in the quality system, determine root causes, build business cases for improvement opportunities, and implement control procedures to measure and monitor results.
  • Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes and other quality KPIs.
  • Investigates and manages non-conforming batches and finished products. Drives the sites to get to root cause and implement improvements to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provides technical assistance to other departments, suppliers and customers as needed.
  • Provide training and support to the sites on quality control procedures and standards.
  • Builds relationships with business leaders to understand business objectives and priorities, and to collaboratively identify quality improvement initiatives.
  • Drives standardization by sharing and implementing best practices and lessons learned across the organization.
  • Manage Investigations and responses to customer complaints, corrective actions and supplier corrective actions.
  • Lead the sites in getting to true root causes and verify effectiveness of corrective actions for all customers.
  • Review KPI and quality data and provide feedback to improve to the sites.
  • Lead focus improvements efforts based on quality data for the area and the company as a whole.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policy’s, safety and environmental requirements.

Required Experience and Skills:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
  • IATF 16949 experience and Internal auditor training.
  • Microsoft dynamics 365 experience a plus.
  • 5 years experience quality management role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, ability to work in a highly collaborative and driven team environment.
  • Working knowledge of various solid/liquid testing equipment.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with core Quality Tools (PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D CAR.
  • CAR).Good organizational, verbal, written communication, and listening skills. Ability to accurately communicate complex information to a wide variety of people.


The expected compensation for this position is an annual salary of $120,000-$150,000 (bonus eligible), depending on experience and qualifications.
