Summary

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Manager to lead operations across a portfolio of student housing communities. This strategic leadership position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of property management, team performance, financials, and resident satisfaction across multiple assets. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in student housing, excels at driving results, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.


This role can be based Houston or Dallas, TX and will require regular travel across assigned properties.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and performance for a multi-site portfolio of student housing communities.
  • Hire, develop, and mentor Property Managers and on-site teams; ensure alignment with company culture and operational goals.
  • Monitor budgets, occupancy, rent growth, collections, and expense control to achieve or exceed financial targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement leasing strategies tailored to the student demographic.
  • Ensure a high standard of resident satisfaction, safety, and community engagement across all properties.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and university housing standards, fair housing laws, and internal policies.
  • Assist in planning and execution of property renovations, capital improvements, and asset repositioning strategies.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership on KPIs, performance metrics, and operational updates.


Qualifications:

  • Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in Student Housing Property Management, including 2+ years in a multi-site/regional leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
  • Proven success in managing budgets, leading diverse teams, and maximizing property performance.
  • Strong understanding of the student housing market, leasing cycles, and university partnership dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned region.
