As a Regional Manager, Client Services, you will play a pivotal role ensuring world-class customer service is delivered to our clients by managing all facets of regional operations, supporting multiple office locations, as well as various business lines. This will include helping lead and manage Client Service Associates teams within the Client Services Department to create a collaborative, smooth-running and effective operation with a reputation for excellence. Critical to support thru leadership acumen, training, guidance, and coaching for high-functioning teams. The Regional Manager must embrace and represent the Savant core philosophies and values demonstrating a client-first approach at the highest level.

The Regional Manager of Client Service can expect to focus in the following areas:

  • Responsible for managing day-to-day client service operations – while ensuring a consistent and exceptional client experience with your team members.
  • Mentor, coach, and lead Client Service Teams, including Associates and Administrative support teams.
  • Partner with Advisory Regional Director to help maintain the high-quality standards and client service throughout the region.
  • Ensure Client Services team procedures are created, maintained and updated as needed.
  • Create, deliver, and lead the Client Services Goals and Objectives with teams.
  • Effective planning and managing of department staffing needs which include but are not limited to:
    • Assist with interviewing and hiring of qualified external and internal candidates.
    • Identify and develop high performing internal employees to build future talent and bench strength.
    • Manage and oversee employee performance review process for the department ensuring reviews are appropriate, accurate, and adhere to company deadlines.
    • Develop performance improvement plans and provide coaching when necessary to improve marginal employee performance ensuring a high level of accountability.
    • Manage staff, including assigning work, and recommending salary increases, promotions, transfers, or terminations.
    • Provide support, guidance, coaching and feedback as needed.
    • Professional development of team including identifying and applying career advancement opportunities.
  • Continuously review department procedures to ensure we are effective, efficient, and maximizing resources.
  • Responsible for resolving high-level service and operational issues.
  • Responsible for understanding and enforcing all Compliance requirements, anticipating needs, and implementing changes whenever necessary to maintain our strong compliance culture. Performing audits/reviews and related duties, as necessary.
  • Act as liaison for outside custodians and third-party vendors when necessary.
  • Directly support Advisors and Clients requests – particularly those more complex and sensitive in nature.
  • Be flexible in approach and willing to support others as needed.
A couple things to note about our Regional Manager of Client Service position:

  • This position is based in our Birmingham, AL office. You must be able to work in-person, Monday-Friday. You can expect to travel to other offices once or twice a quarter. Typical working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM CST.

The Regional Manager of Client Service position typically requires the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 5-8 years proven success within financial industry required in a registered investment advisor or broker-dealer setting.
  • Minimum 3+ years of related management experience.
  • Experience leading a large geographically dispersed workforce highly preferred.
  • Strong client service skills required.
  • Possess well-developed skills for building long-term relationships and managerial style that fosters the trust and respect of a highly diverse client base. Ability to lead and manage in a fast-paced and ever-changing business environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and connect with both virtual and in-person team members while fostering a results-driven team environment. Proven ability to lead and mentor others effectively.
  • Experience with progressive disciplinary processes and the ability to deliver and manage difficult conversations.
  • Travel required to visit local branch offices and meet with employees.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM software- Salesforce experience a plus.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented and effectively apply critical thinking skills.
  • Must possess a consistent positive attitude and mindset with strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to organize work and follow-up skills are critical to the successful performance of position responsibilities.
  • Hands-on, strong team player and fully accountable for delivering agreed upon performance reviews.
  • Position requires high level of confidentiality.

The Perks

The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $73,000-$106,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions.
