Summary

An industry-leading multinational (US MNC) in the oil & energy sector is seeking two highly skilled and proactive Regional Manager/ Engineer - Sales & Business Development (Oil & Gas/ Oilfield Services) to strategically sell specific tools, technologies, and services within their designated Regional portfolio. This role requires a strong product line and operational knowledge, and the Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for ensuring high levels of expertise are shared with clients, often at their location, including rig sites, warehouses, or workshops. The role also involves supporting cross-selling opportunities across the segment where applicable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the entire Technical Sales life cycle, ensuring all responsibilities are effectively executed.
  • Understand and assess customer needs to ensure products and services are clearly communicated and understood by decision makers.
  • Respond to the Client Engagement Plan to enhance profitability through the provision of products and services to new and existing customers.
  • Propose solutions to clients, both formally (through pitches, presentations, bids, and tender submissions) and informally (via networks, relationships, and discussions).
  • Relay competitive intelligence back to the appropriate internal stakeholders, including pricing, product performance, and marketing materials.
  • Develop tailored client application value propositions.
  • Identify opportunities for new products and services, liaising with internal resources as needed.
  • Visit client worksites to ensure products and services meet expectations and to foster strong customer relationships.
  • Maintain effective communication with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Generate annual revenue targets through the creation and conversion of sales plans, including growth strategies.
  • Identify and address revenue gaps throughout the year to ensure target achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Sales Manager on sales strategies and budgets, and participate in quarterly reviews of account plans.


Job Requirements:

  • 4 years of industry technical or operational experience.
  • 3 years of sales experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly gain a broad understanding of product and service offerings.
