Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Regional IT Manager to manage and maintain multiple technology-focused teams and venues within our organization. This individual should be experienced with managing multiple teams in different locations and well versed with entertainment venue specific technologies and operations.
The Regional IT Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure the local Venue IT teams have the proper support and resources to fulfill their responsibilities. This includes working with other venue business units to understand new and evolving requirements as well as ensuring the local IT teams can effectively deliver timely, technical assistance and services to venue staff. This role will also require that they work with other managers to focus on optimizing technical operations, managing regional IT projects, and coordinating engineering support to ensure all our Cosm venues run smoothly and maintain a high level of excellence.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the Venue IT teams at each venue location, ensuring that all teams provide consistent, high-quality technical support to venue staff.
* Set clear performance expectations for Venue IT teams, regularly assessing performance through KPIs, feedback, and team development initiatives.
* Provide mentorship, guidance, and training to local IT support staff to enhance their technical skills and customer service capabilities.
* Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing between regional Venue IT teams to ensure consistent best practices standards, and solutions are implemented across all venues.
* Work with other venue PMs to maintain and evolve the Venue IT program. This includes setting goals, objectives, evaluating requirements and ensuring success metrics are aligned with overall business strategy.
* Work with venue PMs and managers to coordinate and monitor multiple concurrent IT projects within the program's portfolio.
* Develop comprehensive roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables across Cosm venues.
* Identify and assess program risks, dependencies, and impact on other business areas.
* Help manage and maintain staffing schedules and regional IT budgets, making sure resources are allocated effectively across venues.
* Coordinate with venue managers and Venue IT teams to implement and maintain systems tailored to each venue's specific needs, including AV setups, POS systems, ticketing platforms, and security solutions.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues in coordination with local teams and help escalate when necessary.
* Serve as the primary escalation point of contact for regional venue IT communication with executive leadership and business stakeholders on region's status, KPIs, and potential risks or issues.
* Work with event managers to anticipate technology needs for each event, managing IT resources effectively across multiple venues.
* Establish and maintain program governance processes to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
* Drive lessons learned and continuously evaluate/refine program management methodologies and best practices across the region of teams.
Experience:
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management or technical support, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, CompTIA, ITIL) are highly desirable.
* Prior experience managing multi-disciplinary IT teams in a multi-site environment, ideally within the hospitality, events, or venue management industries.
* Prior experience with infrastructure management, hardware troubleshooting, and enterprise software systems.
* Prior experience with AV technology, event management software, and F&B POS systems.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a geographically distributed IT support team.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical staff across various levels of the organization.
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving IT issues.
* General technical curiosity and acumen.
* Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. PMP/Scrum Master certification is a bonus.
Preferred Experience:
* Experience working in live entertainment, venue management, large scale hospitality, or event technology.
* Familiarity with cloud-based IT infrastructure and service management platforms.
* Strong working knowledge of ServiceNow for IT Service Management and IT Operations Management
Work Environment:
* Willingness to travel frequently to various venue locations within the region.
* Occasional need for on-site presence for setup, troubleshooting, and technical support, which may require lifting equipment (greater than 25 lbs) and/or working at heights.
