The Regional HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources activities in the assigned Affiliates (Taiwan Office, Taiwan Plant, Hongkong and Australia) within the Asia region. This role assists the Senior Regional HR Manager in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies & procedures, and programs consistently to ensure the effective management of the workforce, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance and compliance with local labor laws. The Regional HR Manager will report to the Senior Regional HR Manager (for regional responsibilities), Taiwan Country Manager (for Taiwan Office HR responsibilities), and Chief People Officer (for Taiwan Plant responsibilities), and collaborate closely with local HR team members, Country Managers, and corporate HR to align HR initiatives with the company's goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage the day-to-day Human Resource function of Sunrider Taiwan Office & Plant and ensure that standards are maintained at a high level.
* A successful Regional Human Resources Manager must spend over 50% of work time on, and satisfactorily perform, these general categories of duties, which require significant discretion and independent judgment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Suggest and Implement HR strategies that support the regional and company objectives. Ensure alignment with corporate HR initiatives.
- Streamline core processes like hiring, onboarding, terminations, retirements, timekeeping, and others that make up the employment life cycle.
- Performs employee data management and analysis processes to ensure that data is secure and maintained consistent with company policies and privacy regulations. Prepares and delivers required reporting and filings.
- Responsible for the coordination of HR process outsourcing vendors and contracts.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process for key positions within the region. Collaborate with local HR teams to attract and hire top talent.
- Oversee employee relations matters, addressing conflicts, conducting investigations, and ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Implement performance management programs to enhance employee productivity and development.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics and key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with HR teams to deliver training programs and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all regional labor laws and regulations. Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Manage the HR budget for the region, optimizing resources and costs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR team members, providing guidance and support on complex HR issues and decisions.
- Management of office maintenance and administration for the Taiwan office.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Overseeing and managing Taiwan, Hongkong and Australia HR team members or professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in HR management, with a focus on regional or multi-site HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of regional labor laws and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and execute HR strategies.
- Experience with HRIS and HR software.
- Ability to multitask with tight deadlines.
- Position involves a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to work with many departments, international offices.
- Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
- Fluent in oral and written Mandarin and English.
