Job Summary


As the Regional Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) Assurance and Quality Manager for Asia Pacific, you’ll take the lead in implementing our HSE policies and compliance processes. You’ll mentor teams, audit performance, and ensure our operating entities meet the highest standards for legal, corporate, and customer requirements. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things HSE, driving our HSSE strategy and ensuring it’s communicated, executed, and validated across the region.


Key Accountabilities


  • Drive the implementation of DP World Group HSE policies and procedures across the APAC region, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  • Oversee Group HSE applications and dashboards, focusing on setup, reporting, and ensuring data accuracy and effective utilization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve and maintain ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 certifications, including surveillance audits and liaising with certification bodies.
  • Lead governance initiatives by conducting audits, assessments, and inspections, managing corrective actions, and preparing detailed reports with actionable insights.
  • Prepare and present HSE performance reports to the APAC Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and respond to customer, Board, and Cluster-level management requests.
  • Develop and oversee systems to measure and drive continual HSE performance improvement across APAC operating entities.
  • Design, execute, and roll out APAC HSE events and global initiatives while effectively communicating key programs to regional Clusters.
  • Monitor compliance with international and local regulations, DP World standards, and customer requirements, proactively addressing non-compliance issues.
  • Implement programs to enhance accountability, manage critical risks, and strengthen the safety culture across the region.
  • Partner with Head Office, regional teams, and Clusters to support collaborative initiatives, prioritize regional HSE deficiencies, and ensure seamless execution.


Qualifications, Experience, and Skills


  • Graduate degree in Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in safety management principles.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in HSE management, with a proven track record of implementing effective HSE strategies in large, complex operations.
  • Extensive experience in ports and terminals, logistics, supply chain operations, or heavy industrial environments, with a deep understanding of their unique safety and compliance challenges.
  • Expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining integrated management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and conducting audits certified by a recognized accreditation body.
  • Strategic and innovative thinker with a proactive, forward-looking approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Exceptional writing abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capability to produce precise and impactful documentation.
  • Flexibility and readiness to travel for business purposes approximately once every two months.
