What YOU Will Do
Participate in the development of and act as an expert advisor to the Worksite OHS Coordinators in its territory;
Ensure the understanding and proper use of health and safety systems, processes and policies implemented on worksites in its territory;
Guide site management personnel (project directors, project managers, superintendents, site OHS coordinator, etc.) towards the achievement of corporate OHS objectives by ensuring total involvement of all stakeholders;
Act as a resource person for our supervisory staff on worksites under $12 million (start-up meeting, welcome, safety break, health and safety committee, etc.);
Develop, implement and evaluate health and safety programs and strategies;
Conduct regular audits of compliance with our OHS management system;
Produce and submit to corporate OHS management a weekly report on inspections carried out on all sites under his/her responsibility;
Collaborate in the development and implementation of our OHS management tools;
Participate in the recruitment of personnel required to implement our OHS program;
Be involved in special projects with clients and government agencies;
Participate in identifying training needs on worksites;
Provide certain OHS training courses on job sites;
Ensure the health and safety compliance of our subcontractors and the involvement of project management;
Collaborate in the annual evaluation of prevention officers in its territory;
Cover a worksite for a short period if necessary;
Participate in our OHS promotional activities on the various worksites in his or her territory.
What YOU Will Bring
Prevention officer's card, DES or relevant training in the construction sector
5 years' experience as a worksite health and safety coordinator or in a similar position
Knowledge of the construction industry
Available for travel anywhere in Quebec
