Summary

Reporting to the Executive Director and consistent with the mission of Let Me Run, Inc., the Regional Director—Greater Seattle Region is responsible for the overall management, organization and financial solvency of their Let Me Run region.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Market the Let Me Run (LMR) program to current and prospective schools/sites, volunteers and families through appropriate channels, including in-person meetings and events, telephone, electronic communications, social media posts, regional webpage updates, etc.; Use LMR branding and logo usage guidelines and approved talking points in all materials and communications, and collaborate with LMR’ national marketing team; Develop relationships with local media and serve as LMR’s primary point of contact for region
  • Secure sponsorships for season-end 5ks and scholarships; With input from LMR national fund development team, develop and implement annual fund development plan that includes individual, corporate and foundation contributions to ensure fundraising goals are achieved
  • Manage risk by tracking volunteer background checks, providing coach/volunteer training, and monitoring volunteer and participant adherence to LMR policies and procedures
  • Recruit new coaches and participants, and manage coach and participant retention
  • Manage site, coach and participant registration and scholarship applications and allocations
  • Manage coach and team supplies ordering and distribution processes; Collaborate with LMR’s national operations director
  • Manage school/site facilities usage forms
  • Coordinate and manage teams to ensure they have a successful season start and overall program experience, culminating in the boys’ participation in a local 5K; Communicate effectively and consistently with coaches and parents throughout the season
  • Plan and coordinate season-end LMR 5Ks and/or partner with other local 5K hosts to ensure all teams have access to participate in one
  • Lead and manage other Greater Seattle Region staff
  • Develop and manage regional budget with guidance from Executive Director; Develop and implement growth strategies for region
  • Implement LMR strategic plan at the local level


Position Requirements

  • BA or BS degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Personal passion for LMR mission and serving youth
  • Proven experience working as a part of a high functioning team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact effectively with community leaders, school personnel, volunteers, parents, children, and program funders
  • Excellent project and budget management skills
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory using personal vehicle
  • Available to attend weekend and evening events as needed
  • Computer competence, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and data management systems
  • Highly organized and focused, with ability to manage and motivate hundreds of volunteers and to develop and maintain positive relationships
