Overview
Regional OTR CDL Drivers are responsible for transporting different types of goods from branch facilities to customer locations using a commercial truck. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip, and unload cased and uncased products from the trailer to customer facilities. These drivers also must follow appropriate safety procedures to transport cargo as well as, conduct and report vehicle inspections to ensure operation of a compliant vehicle “over the road”. This position is based in the southeastern region of the US. Drivers are typically home on weekends.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Regional deliveries to customer and Mac Papers branch locations
- Manage backhaul loads from customer and branch locations
- May be required to load and unload product at delivery locations using a hand truck or pallet jack
- Securing product for transport
- Obtaining receipts/payment and signatures for delivered product
- Maintain time/rest/mileage/etc. logs as per DOT regulations
- Assist in Converters warehouse as business requires
- Complete local deliveries as business requires
- Lifting/moving up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Responsible for adhering to all federal and state DOT regulations
- Responsible for reporting all equipment defects or damage, as well as accidents and traffic violations
- Adhere and comply with all Mac P+P Safety Requirements and Expectations
Required Qualifications
- Possess a valid Class A CDL in the state of residence
- Must be able to provide verifiable history for the last 3 years of employment from application date
- Must be able to list all employment for which you drove a Commercial Motor Vehicle and work history.
- Minimum of 1-year verifiable commercial driving experience in a Class 8 truck.
- Must possess good communication skills
- Must be familiar with DOT regulations and state laws
- Must possess a clean MVR
- Must possess a valid medical examiners certificate
- Candidate will be subject to a criminal background check and drug testing
Education
- High school degree or equivalent

Physical Demands

Work Environment
- Employee works in an outside environment or warehouse environment, when not in truck.
