Summary

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Business Development Manager to lead our expansion in the rapidly growing solar energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, strong client engagement skills, and a proven track record in driving business growth through strategic partnerships and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Commercial and Industrial solar energy segments.

Establish and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, including clients, electrical consultants, PMCs, and regulatory authorities.

Conduct comprehensive market research to track industry trends, competitors, and potential projects.

Lead the entire sales cycle—from lead generation and proposal development to negotiations and contract closures.

Collaborate with internal technical teams to validate project feasibility and ensure successful project design and delivery.

Devise and implement regional growth strategies to strengthen market presence and boost revenue.

Submit regular reports detailing business development progress, market insights, and competitor intelligence to senior leadership.

Attend solar expos, trade shows, and industry networking events to promote brand visibility and pipeline generation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
5-10 years of experience in the solar industry with a strong background in business development, project sales, or EPC.

In-depth knowledge of solar PV technology, project installation, and regulatory compliance.

Demonstrated success in managing the full sales cycle, including proposal writing, client presentations, and contract negotiations.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across client and internal teams.

High level of self-motivation with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Proficient in data-driven decision-making and performance analytics.

Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.

Prior experience in solar EPC, tendering/bid management, or commercial rooftop solar projects is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:
Strong industry network across Delhi NCR and/or Jaipur with active links to solar contractors, developers, and regulators.

Sound understanding of local market dynamics, policy frameworks, and incentive schemes.
