Summary: The Reflectometer Field Service Scientist will be responsible for performing on-site delivery, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of SOC-manufactured instrumentation. This position will ensure the highest quality of service and customer satisfaction by understanding the construction and full functionality of the reflectometer line of instruments, as well as other SOC products. The role also involves customer training, technical support, and contributing to continuous product improvement.

Qualifications:
Professional Skills: Fluency in modern computer applications for engineering and office operations is essential. Basic knowledge of electronics, optics, and mechanics is required, along with the ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical engineering drawings. Knowledge of programming languages like C++ and Python is preferred but not mandatory.
Education/Experience: Master’s degree in physics, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field, with 2-3 years of industry experience or Bachelor’s degree in above discipline(s) with 3-5 years prior industry experience. Engineering skills and accreditation desirable.
Travel Requirements: This role requires frequent travel, approximately 50%, including domestic and international locations.
