Duties

  • Incumbent will be assigned primarily to the Liberty center to provide direct customer service to patrons using the facility.
  • Responsibilities may include greeting customers, and refer telephone calls, provide information regarding the facility and programs.
  • Incumbent assists with planning, coordinating, and execution of classes, and special events, for afloat and tenant commands.
  • May be required to drive a 12-passenger van, keep trip records, participant counts, and custody of equipment. Distribute information.
  • Responsible for collection and safeguarding of any funds that may be collected as a result of a fee or change.
  • Light housekeeping
  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • Successful completion of National Agency Background (NACI) Check required.
  • This position may require the incumbent to be available to work special events, weekends and holidays.
  • A valid state driver’s license and High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • This position is required to do considerable standing, bending, stooping, walking, pushing, reaching, climbing and lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain food handler’s certification, CPR and First Aid within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • Must have one-year practical work experience including direct customer service or experience with data entry, word processing, internet, e-mail, etc.
  • At least one-year experience handling cash and utilizing point of sale system.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and communicate effectively and courtesy, using proper English both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written directions and present a neat and clean appearance.

Education

A minimum of high-school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
