Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and welcoming Receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in Burlingame, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for all visitors and guests at our retreat center. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a warm demeanor to create a positive first impression.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and detail-oriented atmosphere.
• Handle the check-in process efficiently for up to 70 adult guests at the retreat center.
• Maintain accurate records and provide administrative support using tools like Microsoft Word.
• Address guest inquiries and provide information about the retreat center's facilities and services.
• Ensure the front lobby remains presentable and conducive to a detail-oriented environment.
• Coordinate with other staff members to address any guest needs or concerns.
• Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Adapt to the unique environment of the retreat center, which is part of a convent.
• Follow the business casual dress code and prepare for cooler temperatures in the lobby area.
• Manage additional responsibilities as assigned to support the smooth operation of the retreat center.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in receptionist or customer service roles.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word for basic administrative tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Neat and presentable appearance with adherence to a business casual dress code.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.
• Flexibility to navigate the unique setting of a retreat center environment.
