Job Description: About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D SW Manager with strong Technical and interpersonal skills to lead and mentor our team of talented software engineers in the development of large-scale enterprise applications in workload automation space. As a R&D SW Manager, the person will play a crucial role in driving technical excellence, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: * Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise software systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. * Define and implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, design patterns, and testing strategies. * Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product Management, QA, UX/UI, etc.) to ensure seamless project delivery. * Collaborate with Architects and Product Owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions. * Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the software development landscape. People Management: * Manage, mentor, and coach a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. * Identify and develop individual strengths and areas for improvement. * Provide clear direction and guidance, ensuring the team alignment with project goals and objectives. * Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. * Identify areas for improvement in processes, technologies, and team performance. * Proactively implement solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity Agile & SAFe: * Champion Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and SAFe framework for software development. * Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. * Ensure adherence to agile principles and best practices throughout the development lifecycle. Qualifications & Key Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with minimum of 12+ years of overall Software industry experience of which 3 years of proven experience shall be into leading and managing software development teams. * Strong development skills in Java, Springboot, microservices and other related frameworks/technologies. * Possess a good understanding of relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) * Experience in applying agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and SAFe framework. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Passionate about building high-quality software and creating a positive team environment. Nice to Have: * Experience in working with large-scale enterprise software applications in observability or monitoring domain. * Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like kubernetes and exposure to any of the NoSQL big data stores Additional Job Description: Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is $127,000 - $203,000 This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
