We are searching for the best talent for our R&D Engineer position in Nijmegen in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and perform experimental work, process and analyze data, and report on R&D projects, which may include:
- innovating developing potential new products and production processes,
- improving existing products and production processes,
- developing and validating analytical methods for testing existing and potential new products.
- Provide R&D support for Non-Conformances, Corrective And Preventive Actions, deviations and audit-related activities.
- Support installation, qualification and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Contribute to operational tasks related to R&D, including but not limited to:
- stock management,
- preparing purchase orders for laboratory consumables and chemicals,
- conducting incoming inspections,
- maintaining organization within the R&D laboratories and warehouse.
Qualifications
Education:
- A B.Sc. of M.Sc. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience And Skills
Required:
- A minimum of 3 years (B.Sc.) or 2 years (M.Sc.) experience in a highly regulated industry is required. Medical Device and/or Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with various analytical techniques such as NMR, SEC, KF and FTIR.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
Preferred
- Experience in polymer chemistry, including the synthesis, purification, and characterization of polymers.
- Experience in analytical method development and validation.
- Being able to perform multistep organic synthesis.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485.
