Apply Job Type Part-time Description * PRN* Abilene Sports Medicine & Orthopedics is a professional and agile company, Our work environment includes: * Modern office setting * Food provided JOB DESCRIPTION: * Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Takes x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety. * Obtains quality diagnostic radiographic as requested by physicians. (As quickly as exam/patient condition will allow. Keeping a repeat rate of 2% or less.) * Uses radiation protection and shielding materials when required. * Reviews and QAs radiologic images. * Ensures that all equipment is in compliance with state regulations, is maintained in good working order and clean. * Liaison between patients, physicians, and medical support staff. Must demonstrate a caring and professional manner in order to make patients feel comfortable. * Inventories and stocks radiologic supplies. * Attends required staff meetings. * Maintains patient confidentiality. * Maintains current continuing medical education as required. * Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor/manager. EDUCATIONAL AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS: * High School degree or equivalent. * ARRT or LMRT Certification required QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: * Student technologist would be beneficial but not necessary. * Orthopedic experience preferred. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor. * Neat, professional appearance.
