As a Radiologist Assistant, you will play an essential role in ensuring smooth operations within the radiology department. Your duties will include entering data into the MARS system for medical records, billing, statistics, and quality assurance purposes. You will provide guidance to radiology students and maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition, ensuring that the exam room is stocked with the necessary supplies for diagnostic procedures. Additionally, you will perform various clerical tasks such as answering phones, relaying messages, and scheduling exams.
Responsibilities
+ Enter data into the MARS system for medical records, billing, statistics, and quality assurance.
+ Guide radiology students as needed.
+ Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
+ Ensure the exam room is stocked with proper supplies for diagnostic procedures.
+ Perform clerical tasks including answering phones, relaying messages, and scheduling exams.
Essential Skills
+ Must be registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
+ Experience in portable radiology.
+ Experience with GE or SIEMENS equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree or one to three years of formal training in an American Medical Association accredited program.
+ Minimum of two years of previous job experience.
Work Environment
You will work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, primarily in the operating room setting. Experience within the operating room is ideal for this role. The position is based in Washington, D.C., and Central Maryland, offering the opportunity to work in one of the largest networks of highly trained radiology experts in the region. MedStar Washington technologists are licensed in their specialty areas and receive continual on-the-job training. Benefits include paid parking.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
