Fairview is hiring a Radiology Technologist to join our Medical Imaging Department at our Masonic Childrens Hospital in Minneapolis, MN! This is a .75 FTE (60 hours per 2 week pay period) position. This position will be working five, 12 hour, rotating shifts from 11:00AM - 11:00PM
Week One: Thursday and Friday - 11:00AM - 11:00PM
Week Two: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday - 11:00AM - 11:00PM

- If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 3:00PM - 11:00PM, your hours worked in this shift will receive an additional $6.00 per hour, on top of your base rate & shift differentials.

The Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.
Responsibilities
- Maintains patient care
- Performs examinations
- Identifies relevant data from images accurately
- Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
- Participates in creating a culture of patient safety and demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
- Verify patient identification and documentation
- Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
- Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
- Ensures patient data integrity
- Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
- Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving
- Participates as an active team member
- Orients and mentors new employees and students
- Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
- Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
- Cleans and maintains rooms and supplies
- Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines
- Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly
- Maintains a high level of competency
- Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility
- Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations
- Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served
- Demonstrates Commitment to Customers, Fellow Employees and Fairview
Required Qualifications
- ARRT Certification/Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before date of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year experience as a technologist
- Experience working with pediatric patients
