RADAR SYSTEMS SOFTWARE ENGINEER II
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This task is a critical segment of a detailed legacy system review to gain a more in-depth understanding of RWR performance and integration. The successful candidate must have experience in high-order processor architecture and operating systems. In addition, must: 1) Provide technical expertise and guidance in solving complex Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) RWR software engineering problems; 2) Perform all phases of software development, integration/implementation, and analysis; 3) Participate in hardware/software evaluations; and 4) Represent the DMAero Engineering Team during interface with government and civilian customers.
All positions start in Warner Robins, Georgia with the opportunity, if employee wishes, to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama or Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will have experience with helicopter Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) system performance and functionality.
Provide technical expertise and guidance in solving complex software engineering problems
Analyze data to effectively coordinate the installation of new systems or the modification of existing systems
Develop a high-level architecture of an improved system that utilizes digitization at or near the antennas
Develop distributed systems calibration approach
Identify requirements for Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) multi-function processor LRU including computing environment, processor throughput, memory, and I/O
Determine threat processing requirements to ensure that the selected processor meets 100% of the applicable define FACE Technical Standard requirements
Perform all phases of software development, integration/implementation, and analysis
Participate in software reviews and evaluations
Define interface requirements between system components, e.g. I/O, bandwidth, latency, time synchronization, etc.
Confirm capabilities by designing testing methods, testing properties
Prepare engineering reports analyzing RWR system performance
Apply mathematics and statistics to problem-solving initiatives
Contribute to team effort
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with clients and business partners
Knowledge of agile methodologies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Hands-on programming experience in rotary aircraft radar systems.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering OR mathematics with software experience.
Two (2) years of direct experience in radar systems SOFTWARE engineering.
Candidate must be a US citizen and be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
