Our client, a leader in advanced computing technology, is seeking a Quantum Hardware Engineer to join their team. As a Quantum Hardware Engineer, you will be part of the Quantum team supporting innovative projects in quantum computing. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Reston, VA

Pay Range: $85-90.00 per hour

What's the Job?

• Research and describe key aspects of qubit and component technologies.
• Propose, design, and simulate novel approaches to qubits and qubit gates.
• Interface with modeling, fabrication, measurement, hardware, and systems teams to accelerate key aspects of quantum computer subsystems and products.
• Build cryogenic testing systems for solid-state qubits and measure solid-state qubits.
• Monitor and understand present-state technology trends relevant to quantum computing.
  
  
  

What's Needed?

• PhD in Physics, Quantum Information Science, or a related discipline, with 2+ years of related experience and 10 years of overall technical experience
• Demonstrated ability to build cryogenic experiments and measure solid-state qubits.
• Deep practical knowledge of solid-state device physics relevant for quantum computer development.
• Experience in solid-state quantum computer control and architectures at the quantum plane.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with geographically separated team members.
