We’re looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor specializing in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) for this project, a cutting-edge production facility, located in Zaandam.
About the Project:
Scope: Construction of a state-of-the-art oil refinery, storage facilities, truck loading stations, utilities, infrastructure, and offices.
Sustainability: The project focuses on 40% direct energy savings and 90% CO2 reduction by 2030
Your Role:
As the Quantity Surveyor E&I, you’ll manage all cost and contract-related aspects of the electrical and instrumentation systems for this large-scale project. Your expertise will ensure budget optimization, accurate procurement, and successful delivery of all E&I components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for E&I components, ensuring accurate budget allocation and control.
- Procurement Oversight: Manage procurement of critical electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
- Contract Administration: Review, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, addressing variations and cost adjustments as needed.
- Project Monitoring: Provide regular cost and progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks related to E&I systems, including schedule delays and cost overruns.
- Compliance: Ensure all electrical and instrumentation works meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align project requirements and timelines.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying for E&I projects, preferably in industrial or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems in complex engineering environments.
- Languages: Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
