Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for performing microbiological and analytical testing on finished products, in-process materials, and equipment surfaces to ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and aseptic requirements. You will utilize established laboratory techniques and perform precise calculations to deliver accurate, timely results in support of manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and verify food safety preventive controls and critical factors (e.g., sterilization, thermal processes) to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
  • Conduct quality checks on production lines, including packaging inspections, and promptly report any deviations to QA management.
  • Execute pre-operational inspections, allergen testing, and cleaning verification
  • Provide on-the-floor support and education to production staff regarding food safety
  • Analyze quality data to detect trends or recurring issues and contribute to root cause analysis
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of laboratory work areas and testing equipment, following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Isolate and document non-conforming products, assist with troubleshooting, and participate in investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement focused on reducing waste, rework, and inefficiencies through proactive problem-solving.


Qualifications

  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field
