A Quality Technician is a professional responsible for ensuring that products or services meet the established quality standards. Quality Technicians perform inspections, tests, and measurements on products or services to ensure that they meet the required quality specifications. They are also responsible for identifying and addressing quality issues, as well as implementing corrective actions. Quality Technicians work closely with other members of the quality control team to ensure that the quality standards are met throughout the production process. They also maintain records of quality control data and prepare reports for management. To be successful as a Quality Technician, one should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. A degree in a related field and relevant work experience are often required for this role.
Duties And Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections to ensure that products meet quality standards. You will also be expected to identify and resolve any quality issues that arise and make recommendations for process improvements.
Perform quality control tests on components, materials, and finished products
Identify and troubleshoot quality issues and recommend solutions
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment
Create and maintain quality control documentation and reports
Collaborate with production teams to ensure quality standards are met
Conduct audits of production processes to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
Train production staff on quality control procedures and standards
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes
Communicate quality control findings and recommendations to management
This position does require customer interfacing- working directly with our business partner.
Job requirements
Education And Experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures
Experience with inspection tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
Certification in quality control or related field
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement tools
Ability to analyze data and identify trends
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
