Job Details Job Location: AAON Longview - Longview, TX Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $77,789.00 - $105,244.00 Salary Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Manufacturing Description Job Summary: AAON's Quality Reliability Engineers (QREs) are responsible for coordinating and driving cross functional teams to systematically identify, document, and minimize at-risk processes and components. They will partner with other engineering teams including Design, Research, Electrical/Control, and Product Engineering to identify gaps and clarify ownership between groups. The Quality Reliability Engineer then documents processes and updates production documents through Engineering Change Notice. Drives Quality Management System compliance and improvement opportunities to ensure our products meet customer and engineering specifications. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Coordinates and drives cross functional teams to systematically identify, document, and minimize at-risk processes and components. * Partners with other engineering teams including Design, R&D, Electrical/Controls, and Product Engineering to identify gaps and clarify ownership between groups. * Documents processes, recommends improvements, and updates production documents through Engineering Change Notices. * Drives Quality Management System compliance and improvement opportunities to ensure our products meet customer and engineering specifications. * Utilizes statistical and root cause analysis to review current and past failures. Provides suggestions for improvements and provides support in implementing changes. * Uses Six Sigma and Quality Analysis tools including DMAIC, FMEA, Control Plans, CTQ, and CTM. * Provides technical expertise to other AAON team members when needed. * Works with external suppliers, fabricators, and end customers. * Plans, coordinates, analyzes and reports quality issues, key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuous improvement activities. * Works with other departments and outside manufacturers to ensure that purchased and manufactured parts meet engineering and customer specifications/standards * Supervises a team of Quality professionals while directing workflow, managing schedules, and providing actionable feedback and coaching. Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or a closely related discipline, and 3+ years' experience developing DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, CTQ and CTM documentation. Experience in Quality (ASQ CQE Certification), ISO, Lean, Statistical Process Control, Auditing, HVAC, and Continuous Improvement methodologies and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement methodologies. * Working knowledge of HVAC industry and manufacturing. * Highly developed interpersonal and technical skills. * Communicates effectively in written and spoken form; bilingual is a plus. * Exhibits excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities. * Demonstrates strong organizational skills and multi-tasking capabilities. * Works effectively and respectfully in a team environment. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. * Demonstrated leadership ability including assigning responsibilities, directing the work of others, and providing actionable feedback. Work Environment: * Primarily works in a professional, office environment. * Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time. * Ability to ascend/descend stairs unassisted. * Work requires periodic visits to manufacturing environments with exposure to loud noises, seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and chemical fumes. * Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
