*Responsibilities*
Northridge Hospital Medical Center is Seeking a Passionate *Patient Safety Program Manager*! This role is critical in promoting a culture of safety, identifying and mitigating potential risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The *Patient Safety Program Manager* will work collaboratively with all departments and levels of staff to improve patient outcomes and prevent harm.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive patient safety program aligned with national standards and best practices.
- Lead and facilitate the Patient Safety Committee, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor and analyze patient safety data, including incident reports, near misses, and adverse events, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Oversee the organization's incident reporting system, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of events.
- Conduct thorough investigations of serious safety events (e.g., root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis) to identify contributing factors and develop effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Risk Management department to identify and mitigate potential risks to patient safety.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those from The Joint Commission, CMS, and state licensing agencies.
- Develop and deliver patient safety education and training programs for all staff, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to improve patient safety and quality of care.
*Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of five (5) years of risk management, patient safety, quality, compliance, and/or other related professional experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing/supervising employees and/or vendors.
- CA RN License required.
- Fire Safety required. (must obtain within 90 days from start date)
