Position Overview
The Quality Manager will be responsible for policy interpretation and implementation.
What you'll do
* Take ownership of the quality improvement and quality system for assigned areas and projects. This includes but is not limited to work instructions, process capability studies, quality improvement and customer communication.
* Monitor, manage and report quality customer complaints to plant employees and management team.
* Champion projects to improve product specifications and quality
* Support Engineering and Production departments in establishing quality goals and audits.
* Coordinate and communicate with customers or vendors with any corrective action plan and resolutions.
* Administrate, analyze and close customer complaints as needed and as per Mermet protocol.
* Analyze customer and plant quality audits / issues. Assign corrective actions to the appropriate departments and/or vendors
* Enhance, maintain, and manage our purchased product qualification and inspection system.
* Enhance, maintain, and manage our vendor certification.
* Prepare and facilitate monthly quality training sessions for team members, provide coaching and development for team members.
* All other duties as assigned
Who you are
* Bachelor's degree Quality Management, Engineering or a related field.
* 5 to 8 years of quality management experience, preferably in the textile industry.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong knowledge in Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis and Quality Management System.
* Experience analyzing data and implementing effective quality management strategies.
* Proficiency in documentation and record management systems
* Project Management experience
* MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Ability to travel 10 to 15%
