Job Title: Quality Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Overview:
We're looking for a
Quality Manager with a strong
systems-oriented mindset to take ownership of our
Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement across our operations. This isn't just about inspecting parts-this is about building and sustaining quality systems that elevate the entire organization.
In this leadership role, you'll oversee quality assurance activities throughout the manufacturing process and beyond, ensuring compliance with AS9100D and customer expectations. You'll lead a team of engineers and inspectors while working closely with cross-functional departments to ensure processes are efficient, compliant, and always improving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement with AS9100D and customer requirements.
- Supervise a team of Quality Engineers and Inspectors, guiding priorities and mentoring technical growth.
- Act as a systems leader, not just a product inspector-driving structured, process-based quality improvements across the facility.
- Own and improve documentation and control systems including APQP, Process Flows, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and work instructions.
- Oversee and approve PPAPs, FAIs, and related documentation for customer submissions.
- Lead root cause investigations, MRB processes, RMA management, and implement corrective/preventive actions that stick.
- Serve as the primary liaison for customers, suppliers, and auditors regarding all quality system matters.
- Analyze data trends, SPC/Cpk metrics, and develop actionable plans to ensure manufacturing reliability and safety.
- Manage and deliver QMS and quality-related training across departments to drive quality ownership at every level.
- Promote a culture of quality through hands-on leadership, clear standards, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
- 10+ years of industry experience, with at least 5 in a supervisory or management role.
- Proven experience managing quality systems in an AS9100D-regulated environment.
- Expertise in GD&T, mechanical inspection techniques, CMM fixturing and data analysis.
- Working knowledge of casting, machining, and assembly processes.
- Skilled at interpreting drawings, specifications, SPC/Cpk data, and translating them into actionable processes.
- Familiarity with NADCAP, Mil-Specs, and customer-specific quality expectations.
Ideal Candidate Traits:
- Systems thinker with a hands-on approach
- Calm under pressure, strong problem-solver
- Skilled communicator with cross-functional influence
- Motivated to lead teams and improve processes
- Confident navigating audits and customer conversations
If you're ready to make a lasting impact on how quality is defined and delivered, we want to hear from you.
