Summary

Quality Management System Manager JOB OVERVIEW: The Quality Management System Manager is responsible for developing and managing the National Beverage Corporation Quality Management System (QMS), leading standardization of best practices, procedures and protocols across the enterprise. This position reports to the Director of Quality Assurance and is a key Corporate Quality leadership team member. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Responsible for the development, planning, deployment, and maintenance of the Corporate Quality Management System and compliance programs in alignment with strategic corporate goals. * Develop, implement, and improve proactive quality and food safety systems based on risk assessment models that prevent failures and mitigate risk to the consumer and Brand. * Create and maintain Best in Class searchable QMS Website aligned with GFSI Standards. * Provide TraceGains Administration, enterprise leadership, build, and daily management. * Lead Supplier Risk Assessment and Audit Pla,n and New Product & Package Testing and Qualification * Update of Enterprise Quality Food Safety SOPs, Protocols & Policies * Manage Enterprise Batch Formula Portal for manufacturing operations * Develop and coordinate New Product Development (NPD) Cross Functional Team * Create and maintain supplier quality approval program, working with suppliers to maintain quality standards for both packaging and product ingredients to include benchmarking scorecards * Oversee and administer the Can Warranty Program * Develops and maintains statistical database leveraging online QFS test plan, including the development of new data collection procedures that improve Right First Time Results * Drive improvements to positively impact the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), manage dashboards and Scorecards relative to quality, cost, and food safety * Support plant employee training related to cross-functional information sharing, team building, team goal attainment, and follow-up, and any activity that relates to quality system improvement. * Render professional Quality Improvement support in areas of problem resolution, system improvements, Standard Work & Operating Procedures. * Build and reinforce quality acumen with the plants partnering deeply with the production and maintenance teams. * Serve as Assistant Recall Coordinator in the event a recall becomes necessary. * Monitor plant quality records and provide summary reports to designated manufacturing personnel and the Director of Quality Assurance. Quality Management System Manager MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, education skill, and/or ability required. * Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology or other related science * Minimum 5-10 years general plant/factory management experience in food and beverage industry * Minimum of 3-5 years experience developing and deploying a multi-plant Quality Management System (QMS) in a food-related industry * Significant experience managing packaging suppliers and leading supplier approval qualifications * Subject Matter Expertise with FDA FMSA regulations; GMP's and GFSI * Experience coordinating New Product Development team and processes * Able to maintain/update web-based profiles such as iCiX, FDA Bioterrorism, and customer-based quality management profile sites * Working knowledge of TraceGains is preferred * Must possess advanced computer skills in word processing, database management, and spreadsheets, specifically with Microsoft Office products, and be able to maintain the QMS SharePoint website * Ability to manage changing priorities, multitask, and to interact with different departments and as a team member * Must possess excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization, vendors, and customers * Understanding of and ability to apply Lean/continuous improvement concepts in daily work.
