Job Summary: Overseeing all work related to products assembly, powder coating, maintenance team and projects ensuring cost-effective operations and the delivery of quality products in a manufacturing, ensuring the process runs efficiently. Identify problems, clearly and accurately define problem statements and apply structured/disciplined methodology (Lean and/or Six Sigma) addressing data-driven root causes. Responsible for the performance of the manufacturing process including meeting production output, maintenance, safety, and quality goals.
Essential Job Functions
Mentors Supervisors and employees within the department to solve problems to improve manufacturing processes
Collaborates with Operations to address issues with greater scope
Identifies and escalate issues that require further capital investment and/or design resources through the appropriate management channel
Improve system designs for better safety and production efficiency
Develop and execute strategies to improve quality, including process controls, inspection methods, and standard repairs
Conduct or assist with performance and failure analysis of defective products
Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure products meet specifications and requirements
Work with equipment suppliers to create production lines that meet required capacity needs
Establish standard processes and quality expectations
Work closely with production teams to address any quality or process related issues on products
Track and report projects and results of quality awareness programs
Shows initiative in gaining and maintaining the skills, abilities, and knowledge required to perform in this position in at least a fully qualified and satisfactory manner

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (required).
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in powder coating.
Experience in coating aluminum is desirable.
Familiarity with design of experiments (DOE) and other scientific methodologies.
Project management experience.
Ability to support production issues related to coating as they arise.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and minimal supervision.
Knowledge and experience in Lean practices and statistical methods.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are essential
Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills, preferred
Lean Manufacturing knowledge, preferred
Must be proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook and Excel
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. unassisted

Salary Description
$100,000 - $115,000 per year
