Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Location: San Jose, CA

Title of Immediate Supervisor: Director of Quality

Position Description:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead ISO preparation process
• Lead Supplier Quality Management Process
• Lead root cause investigations and develop corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA)
• Create and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and inspection reports.
• Oversee BOM (Bill of Materials) process and collaborate with engineering and production teams to update BOMs as necessary for new designs or changes.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and promote best practices.
• Monitor quality metrics and report on performance, recommending areas for enhancement.

Knowledge/Skills Preferences:

1. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think independently and a motivation to make meaningful contributions
2. Must be a self-starter - a highly motivated person able to work in a fast-paced environment that is continually changing.
3. MS required; EE or ME preferred (or equivalent)
4. 2+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance
5. Strong ability to organize and manage documentation effectively
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills
7. Basic Programming skill is a plus
