Quality Engineer 1047-1 A leading music streaming company seeks a Motion Designer. The ideal candidate has five or more years of test automation experience. Quality Engineer Pay and Benefits: * Hourly pay: $70/hr - $75/hr * Worksite: Oakland, CA - Hybrid * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment Quality Engineer Responsibilities: * Collaborate with the QE team, software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand system functionality and requirements. * Develop, maintain, enhance, and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure quality and stability. * Generate testing completion metrics and analysis. * Anticipate potential quality problems and ensure the effectiveness and quality of developed components and systems. * Solve complex automation challenges and work on projects with minimal supervision. * Set, review, and refine automation framework guidelines to ensure alignment with industry best practices and technological advancements. * Perform automated test demos and walkthrough tests with team members. Quality Engineer Qualifications: * 5+ years of test automation experience. * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field. * Experience in the frontend web app and/or backend service/API test automation. * Experience with testing enterprise web apps running in cloud environments like AWS or GCP. * Experience with databases (SQL at minimum); broader database experience is a plus. * Experience in the Ads domain is a plus. * Experience with REST API testing. * Experience with SDLC and continuous integration tools (GitLab, Jenkins) * Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and continuously optimizing automated testing frameworks and strategies, with a strong focus on scalability, maintainability, reliability, and integration into CI/CD pipelines. * Proficiency in various phases of software testing, including test planning, functional, regression, end-to-end, performance, usability, longevity, edge case, integration, and server-side API testing. * Ability to work effectively within a team or independently in a fast-paced changing environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. * Demonstrated initiative in process improvements, exploration of new technologies, and proof of concepts. * Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, paired with a tester's mindset, curiosity, and strong communication to support high-quality, scalable solutions. * Java, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, REST Assured, GraphQL, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, TestNG. * Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD), Cucumber, and Gherkin is a plus. * Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, Slack, and TestRail is a plus.
