Major Responsibilities

CRRC and MOTA Engil Colombia, as subcontractors of the Medellin Metro, are responsible for the design, construction, testing, and commissioning of the Metro de la 80 project. As the world's largest railway equipment supplier, CRRC will provide vehicles, communication systems, electrification systems, signaling systems, fire protection systems, automatic ticket vending and inspection systems, and garage equipment for the Metro de la 80 project.

The quality engineer reports to the project department head of CRRC and is responsible for managing the quality of the Medellin Metro de la 80 project at all stages of design, construction, commissioning, planning quality management plans and implementing quality management to ensure that the delivery of the railway system fully complies with quality requirements and technical specifications.

• Responsible for decomposing the quality management requirements in the main contract and technical attachments.
• Responsible for preparing quality management related documents, covering quality management guidelines and requirements for design, construction, commissioning and other stages.
• Responsible for communicating and discussing the project quality management plan with the owner and supervisor, and obtaining their approval.
• Responsible for clarifying quality management requirements into subcontractor procurement contracts and participating in subcontractor contract negotiations.
• Responsible for controlling the quality of each subcontractor's project execution stage in accordance with quality management requirements, ensuring that subcontractors meet quality requirements in the design, construction, commissioning and other stages of project execution and achieve final system delivery.
• Responsible for reviewing and approving the quality management records, documents, and other output materials of each subcontractor.
• Responsible for participating in quality inspections and factory inspections of various subcontractors and outputting relevant quality management reports.
• Responsible for preparing quality management related project execution reports and reporting quality management progress and issues to the supervisor.
• Responsible for on-site quality inspection of materials and management of repair and replacement of defective materials, and formulate corresponding management procedures.
• Responsible for quality management of materials stored on site.
• Responsible for leading the cause analysis of quality-related issues and formulating corrective measures, organizing subcontractors to develop 8D reports.
• Responsible for organizing quality management related meetings and coordinating and making decisions on related quality issues.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Able to use Spanish and English as working languages, fluent in English listening, speaking, reading, and writing are required.
• More than 2 years of experience in engineering project quality management, and more than 5 years of experience in quality management.
