In this position at Tacx (a Garmin Company), you are part of our Quality Department, assuring supreme quality of our Tacx Smart Cycling Trainers. As a Quality Engineer you have the responsibility to ensure that all parts and (sub)assemblies delivered from our suppliers to our factory, are in compliance with manufacturing specifications and company standards.


You work in close collaboration with our R&D, Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure that quality requirements for parts and (sub)assemblies are clearly defined, implemented, and maintained throughout the production process. You support the introduction of new products by validating processes and ensuring quality is built into every stage of manufacturing. By analyzing quality data and trends, you proactively identify areas for improvement and help drive initiatives that enhance product reliability and process efficiency. In the case of non-conformances, you lead root cause analyses and coordinate corrective and preventive actions across teams.


You have the chance to work with a wide diversity of stakeholders within our production site in Oegstgeest, global Garmin organization and suppliers all over the world. You report to our Team Leader Quality.


What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • You ensure that products and parts meet customer specifications and internal Quality Standards.
  • You document, analyze and report non-conformances of products and processes from a quality perspective.
  • Conduct Root Cause analysis and propose and implement corrective actions.
  • You assist internal, external and supplier audits.
  • Work closely with Quality Inspections, Production, Engineering and Supply Chain to resolve issues and improve processes.


What do we expect from you?

  • You hold a technical Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, materials engineering or an equivalent field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Lean / Six Sigma knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Proficient in quality fundamentals and quality tools, including APQP, suppliers audits, SPC and 8D.
  • Understanding of QMS, with experience conducting internal and/or supplier audits (ISO9001)
  • Good communication skills in English.
