QUALITY ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY: Quality team member supporting process improvement initiatives within the organization. You will work closely with Quality Leaders to identify inefficiencies, collect and analyze data, and implement solutions that enhance operational performance. Your responsibilities will include documenting processes, participating in problem-solving sessions, and promoting Lean Six Sigma principles across departments. This role requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist leaders (across the company) in implementing continuous improvement projects. * Participate in problem-solving sessions and contribute to project teams. * Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement. * Use basic problem solving and lean tools to support data-driven decision-making. * Document current processes and identify inefficiencies. * Help create process maps and flowcharts. * Promote problem solving and lean principles within the organization. * Facilitate communication between team members and departments. * Track project progress and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). * Prepare reports and presentations on project outcomes. * All other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. * Yellow Belt Training or Green Belt Training (preferred) * Proficiency in data analysis tools and software. * Experience: 4+years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive assembly. * Supplier Quality Certification preferred (CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, CQA, etc.). TRAVEL: Travel Required: Yes KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Strong analytical skills and proficiency in statistical software (Minitab, JMP, etc.). * Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other automotive quality standards. * Experience with automation, Industry 4.0, and digital transformation initiatives. * Strong project management skills and ability to influence stakeholders. * Knowledge of supply chain optimization and just-in-time (JIT) principles.
