This position will serve as a tester in one of our leading development initiatives. Skill/Experience Requirements: 8+ years of QA experience Experience working with CI tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab etc.) Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment Proficient in defect tracking and analyzing root cause utilizing tools ( Jira , Rally etc.) Strong understanding of automation and performance concepts and approaches . Experience working with or on remote teams Understand and utilize risk based testing technique Experience in test environment and test data management Specialization/Role Requirements for Automation 5+ years of hands-on testing experience in Azure Data Factory , Data Bricks using Python language . 5+ years of hands-on testing experience on Data and ETL workflows using tools like ( Informatica IDQ , DVO etc.) Demonstrated experience in creating and testing mappings ( with transformations like Joiners , Sorters , Filters , Routers etc.) Good understanding of Databases ( relational and non relational ) Experience in ETL and Data frameworks, processes, strategies, and approaches 3+ years of experience in advanced SQL Key Responsibilities This Sr. Quality Engineer will be responsible for analyzing user stories and acceptance criteria to derive test cases, ensuring the successful execution, logging defects when issues are encountered, and communicate effectively with team leaders on test status. The Quality Engineer will utilize test tools such as QMetry, Selenium WebDriver, and RestAssured to create test cases/scripts. Where possible, tests should be automated using Java programming language and executed in continuous integration fashion using Github Actions. Experience using Jira for defect management is required and experience using QMetry for test case management is desired. Effectively work in a fast paced environment utilizing the Agile methodology Develop and maintain functional automation test scripts utilizing modular frameworks and best practices Execute test scripts to validate correct functionality of application Use SQL for back-end database validation Perform various types of testing including smoke, white box, black box, integration, end-to-end, regression, and system testing as needed Participate in requirement & design review sessions; evaluate requirements & design docs from a quality test automation standpoint Manage test coverage based on risk analysis Document defects and evaluate priority of defect based on overall application functionality Coordinate test script reviews with stakeholders as appropriate. Adhere to requirement review, defect writing & test script writing guidelines Ensure completion of all deliverables within schedule, budget and quality constraints. Participate in Root Cause Analysis sessions Ensure that projects follow prescribed software development life cycle standards. Develop and maintain good relationships with project team. Multi-task to meet assignment deadlines Accurately estimate work assignments Show assertiveness Identify obstacles and roadblocks; and offer suggestions to work around obstacles Help drive and improve QA process within the team you are assigned Note to Vendors 100% remote candidates are ok. Experience using Jira for defect management is REQUIRED. Experience using QMetry for test case management is desired.
