Akkodis is seeking a full time Associate Quality Engineer / Data Analyst for a full-time, hybrid-based role in Reston, VA. This position will report to Sr. Quality Engineer and is responsible for supporting all product quality activities related to the product portfolio as assigned, including DC Fast Charging, switchboards, battery storage, and energy management systems. Role is defined as hybrid and individual must be able to work in the office at the Reston, VA office at least two days per week, with other days optional as arranged with manager.

Salary: $80,000 to $100,000/yr

Associate Quality Engineer / Data Analyst job responsibilities include:

• Work duties include supporting quality analysis of top hardware and software/firmware issues driving customer experience on assigned product platform.
• Individual will lead 8D investigations with training provided following a structured approach to investigate and correct product deficiencies.
• Role will result in broad exposure to EV products, suppliers, and internal departments and is ideal for a self-motivated individual looking for significant opportunity in a fast-growing EV charging industry.
• The Engineer will use a strong knowledge of statistics and data analysis to help drive trend analysis to identify top issues affecting quality metrics.
• Individual will identify top Pareto's and work with senior quality engineer and internal subject matter experts to recommend and drive improvement initiatives.
• This person will present their analysis to internal teams and may join calls with vendors or automotive customers (OEMs) as required.
• Individual will also participate on supplier audit or internal audit teams as needed to support assigned duties.
• The role may require some travel or time in the technology lab, at up to 10% percent as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science degree of a technical discipline.
• Greater than two years of professional experience, ideally with a data analytical background.
• Computer savvy – skilled in the use of analytical tools for analysis such as advanced MS Excel along with Python scripting and SQL.
• Ability to perform data analysis using analytical tools, including box plots, linear regression, statistical trend analysis, etc.

Helpful to have:

• Experience with Agile process, Confluence, JIRA, Salesforce, Tableau (Statistics) and other essential tools.
• Six Sigma or other quality discipline
• Ability to review and understand electrical schematics and component data sheets
• Fundamental knowledge of electronics A/C and D/C theory
• Understanding of key electrical components: power semiconductors, inductors, transformers, capacitors, inverters and DC to DC converters.
• Demonstrated working experience with hardware or electrical/electronic systems
• Knowledge & understanding of overall automotive and EV Industry
• Knowledge and experience working with charging technology.
• Experience in high voltage physical testing with electrical vehicles and charging stations.
• Quality Life Cycle engagement for Product HW, SW and FW development
