AeroTECs Operations Division oversees several areas of expertise and services to support multiple AeroTEC areas, including the Accounting & Finance, Administration, MRO, including, but not limited to, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Manufacturing (PMA), Aircraft Maintenance, Modifications, Repair & Overhaul (FAA 145 MRO), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and Test Site Facilities Management.

The Quality Engineer ensure that a AeroTEC's products and processes meet established quality standards by identifying shortfalls, developing corrective measures, and implementing quality control systems.

Job Duties And Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Develop and ensure compliance to Quality Management System and AS9100 / AS9110 management systems.
  • Developing and implementing quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing quality control systems.
  • Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.
  • Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
  • Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
  • Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
  • Creating and implementing quality control systems for engineering release.

Level Requirements (Minimum)

Education

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's Degree; engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of Quality Management and related systems preferred

Experience

  • 4 to 6 years of Quality Engineering experience in a similar capacity or equivalent in the aviation industry.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Infrequent travel required to AeroTEC facilities.
