Summary

Primary Purpose Of This Job

This position will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and managing American Flowform & Machining products and processes in accordance with ISO9001:2015 & AS9100: 2016 D standards. You will also be responsible for managing records, creating document packages, performing pre-production reviews, and ensuring that the company complies with its Quality Management System (QMS).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and adhere to ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System documentation
  • Represent American Flowform & Machining during audits of Quality System, procedures, products and processes
  • Manage calibration activities and recall
  • Coordinate and support product and process approvals with customers, source inspectors and auditors.
  • Assist in continuous development and refinement of our Quality Management System
  • Assist in developing Quality control policies
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluation of products for compliance
  • Supports manufacturing process development & qualification for new product realization and product changes.
  • Prepare FAIR, FAIP and oversee First Article Inspections (AS9102)
  • Independently work with internal and external customers for program specific needs
  • Responsible for design, implementation, performance and documentation of internal and external quality audits
  • Drive MRB (Material Review Board) for quality issues
  • Update ERP system with quality transactions
  • Perform RCCA (root cause analysis) and CA (corrective actions) in response to internal or external quality issues
  • Contributes to team environment by maintaining a positive attitude
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external customer
  • Provide direction and training to Quality Inspectors as required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Authority to perform all tasks/activities responsible for

Basic Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in Quality and Manufacturing
  • Technical Drawing Interpretation, GD&T, AS9102
  • Applicable equivalent work experience with quality procedures and inspection methods
  • NDT II (MAG Particle)
  • Working in a manufacturing environment

  • Metals and materials
  • CNC Machining
  • Basic mechanical engineering principles and calculations
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Mechanical Testing (Tensile, Hardness, Grain Size)
  • Non Destructive Testing (Magnetic Particle, Pressure Testing, Dye Penetrant)
  • AS9100
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask with a high attention to detail
  • Mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Ability To

  • Detail oriented and ability to solve challenging problems using creative solutions
  • Function with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
