Summary

Qualifications: A high school diploma, one- or two-year certificate from college or technical school or training certifications and or 2+ years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Overall Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the company’s quality management systems are established, in place and maintained. The individual is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of any areas in need of improvements and results of the QMS (ISO9001). The individual will interact with various department functions such as Quality, Engineering, Production and Planning in a manufacturing setting to effectively communicate status. Key Areas of Responsibility: Reports to management on the performance of the QMS and any needs for improvement(s). Objectively performs Internal Audits and/or Process Audits to maintain the Internal/Process Audit Program. Ensures the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization. Coordinate the maintenance of the QMS , document control, logs and reporting etc.. Works with external and internal parties regarding customers’ inquiries or issues relating to the quality of products, processes and QMS. Will make recommendations with regards to the direction and coordination of the Quality Management System. Executes tasks and responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, directing, and resolving QMS challenges and responding to customer issues in a timely fashion. As needed will conduct inspection of components and or parts used in the manufacturing processes, conduct in-process quality inspections, during the inspection process will examine products to confirm quality and engineering requirements. Communicate quality compliance issues with urgency, report, and document complaints. As needed will utilize measurements tools of inspection such as Calipers, Micrometers, stereo scopes, Comparators, OGP, vision systems…..???? As required will utilize company’s ERP system to enter receiving data, perform system transactions, handheld scanners, computers, Update and Maintain Quality system records. Move product to assigned location, at times will have to physically move or lift products. Competencies Required: Employees in the above position will need to demonstrate knowledge and competency in the following areas: · Experience in Quality Inspection and quality system functions in a manufacturing environment, fast paced. · Experience with Quality, inspection tools and blueprints. · Experience with ERP systems preferred. · Effective verbal and written communication skills · Ability to remain on task in a fast paced, high-volume environment. · Proficient in MS Office suite and basic math skills required. · Detail oriented and organized to ensure accuracy and quality, able to thrive in a team environment. · Ability to provide a high level of service to internal and external customers. · Strong communication, organizational, skills · Self-motivated with a high level of initiative Attributes needed for the position: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following: Language Skills -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Mathematical Skills - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Reasoning Ability- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
