Summary: The primary responsibility of a Quality Coordinator is to monitor compliance with quality improvement initiatives. The Quality Coordinator performs ongoing measurement, data collection, management and analysis for a myriad of quality improvement initiatives included in the organization's performance improvement plan, focused nursing documentation and initiatives driven by regulatory citations/plan of correction. If the employee is assigned a specialty area that is more than 50% of their job duties, they will be designated as the coordinator of that specialty area. Registered Nurse with current NC license (BSN preferred) or related bachelor's degree or higher in health-related field. * * EXPERIENCE *

At least three to five years of hospital experience. * * LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION *

Registered Nurses must have active NC license or credentialing related to specific degree. * * OTHER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS *

At least three to five years of experience in health-related field. Project management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, data management, highly developed computer skills, organizational skills, analytical reasoning, and the ability to think critically and work independently. * * WORK ENVIRONMENT * Normally works 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday with hospital recognized holidays off. * May be required to work alternate schedule or additional hours to accommodate need of the department. * PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS *
