County Fair, a Division of Astral Operations Limited is an integrated Poultry producer looking for a Quality Controller to join their Team.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent
  
  

Experience

• Sound Knowledge of FSSC 22000, GMP requirements and relevant guidelines and Quality Management Systems
• Knowledge of statistical process control
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Would Be Responsible For

• Maintaining the HACCP programme
• Managing the corrective action system
• Monitoring staff personal hygiene
• Managing and monitoring product flow
• Adhering to HACCP/Hygiene standards
• Ensuring that efficient recording takes place of all defected carcasses and process controls
• Reporting all variances to the relevant department managers
• Implementing and managing the 20-keys system
• Ensure daily factory cleanliness inspections are carried out
• Ensure daily preparation and on-time submission of laboratory samples
• Ensure weekly swabs are executed and submitted

• Must have excellent leadership skills to manage a team
• Ability to speak English and a second official language
• Must be able to communicate at all levels
• Must be able to work in a high pressured environment
• Must have strong administrative skills
• The chosen candidate must be proactive, have good management, communication and interpersonal skills as well as problem solving and planning skills
• Due to the nature of the job, the candidate must be able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
